LIFE FOCUS
This Life Focus assessment is a perfect way to consider the main life domains and which areas in your unique need some added focus. You know the saying “What you don’t measure, you can’t improve”? The same goes for our life.
I designed this tool with one goal in mind - to help you identify where you’re at in all the major domains of your life. That way you can improve any area that's lagging and experience a life filled with abundance and joy. Because when we have balance in our main life domains, we move through life with ease and in flow.
PRINCIPLE #1: REAL LIFE IS MULTIFACETED
Your life is more than your work. It’s even more than your family. Your life consists of these primary life domains:
1. Love (Romantic relationships, dating life etc.)
2. Family (Parents, siblings, grandparents, children)
3. Community (Friends & Community)
4. Body (Exercise & Routine)
5. Hobbies (Fun & Recreation)
6. Diet (Healthy eating & eating habits)
7. Mind (Personal development, self care)
8. Money (Finances)
9. Work (Career, business)
PRINCIPLE #2: EACH DOMAIN IS IMPORTANT
To simplify things, we break life down into the above 9 domains. But the truth is, life is fluid and seamless, and we can’t separate things so easily all the time.
For example, our health impacts our work. If we are not eating right or getting enough exercise, it makes it difficult to be creative and productive at work. Conversely, if we are under stress at work, it can negatively impact our eating habits or the time we allow for physical activity.
Similarly, our emotional condition impacts our social life. If we are feeling low or angry, it makes it difficult to build healthy relationships. Conversely, if we have deep, meaningful friendships, it can contribute to our emotional well-being.
Because these life domains are interrelated, each is important. Each must receive the appropriate amount of attention and be brought into balance.
PRINCIPLE #3: PROGRESS BEGINS WHEN WE GAIN CLARITY
There is power in having clarity. We need clarity on where we are and where we are going to feel in control of our lives. This Life Focus assessment gives you a quick and easy snapshot on which areas of your life need a little more focus, trigging your mind to being to think of ways they can be improved. Perhaps you’ve realised your finances need some added attention, or you need more time for personal time. Ultimately this process gives you clarity on where you are heading and how to bring more balance into your life.
PRINCIPLE #4: WE CAN IMPROVE IN ANY DOMAIN
The good news is that you really can get better and experience significant growth in every life domain. You don’t have to settle for what is. You can grow.
5 Years ago I had hit rock bottom. I had finally gotten out of a toxic relationship with a textbook narcissist, I had no money, no assets, and I felt as if I had pushed away all my friends and family. I also didn’t know how to feel joy anymore. Life felt uninspiring, I felt lost and I didn’t know where to being to rediscover myself.
I decided to create a new story for myself. One where I lived an abundant life, one that was full of joy, meaningful relationships, continual personal growth, great health and financial freedom.
Once I knew where to begin and the tools and processes to accelerate my journey there, nothing could stop me. Within 3 months I felt back to my true self. I was authentically happy, on a career path that felt so aligned and progressed in flow, my health made me feel vibrant and my relationships energised me.
All it took was about my current condition, the intention to change, and the effort to make it happen.
PRINCIPLE #5: CONFIDENCE IS A BYPRODUCT OF GROWTH
The truth is, when it comes to what really matters - your professional success, your health, your finances, and your most important relationships - you have far more control than you think.
All you need are clarity and a path forward. This Life Focus assessment is the first step in this journey and I hope you find it of value x
